I’m still alive.  Very, in fact.  Last week I had Thursday and Friday off work, and Jeff happened to have a business trip scheduled.  So I tagged along, and we had a blast.  Wednesday’s day of driving took twice as long thanks to a series of accidents, we spent twelve hours in the car on Thursday, and I didn’t get sick of him once.  I’m beginning to think it’s impossible to. 

Friday we went to see The Dark Knight, and I don’t wanna hear one word– not ONE WORD– about the allegations against Christian Bale.  I love the man; he’s got some serious talent.  I’ve been a fan since Newsies.  He’s one of the few men I will believe until further facts are known.

But the real reason I’m hopping on today is to let you know that changes are a’coming.  If you perhaps noticed, I haven’t posted in a while.  A long while.  My twittering was becoming nonexistant.  All the other social media sites were becoming overwhelming.  So I’m making some changes– I’ve downsized my Twitter account (it’s really nothing personal, but I can’t spend ten minutes reading through past tweets anymore.  besides, if you’re reading this, then i most likely still follow you), canceled my Flickr/linkedin/facebook/goodreads/plurk accounts, and more changes will probably come shortly.  The blogging thing needs to stay– or, become again–fun; it’s becoming work and I don’t need more work.  To quote Mike Binder’s character in The Mind of the Married Man, “Work?  I don’t wanna work.  I just got home from work; I wanna lay on the couch.”

But in the meantime, I’m still here.
